we are gavin and Gareth Bragdon, two brothers who have poured our creative energy into photography and image making for over a decade.
Our specialty has been street and documentary photography, inspired by the idea that one can make art and compelling images from the world around them. Our street work has informed the our approach with other genres such as photojournalism, documentary, staged and event photography as well as video.
for over a decade we have photographed our former home of Edinburgh, Scotland as well as other locations in Europe. we have since relocated back to the usa, this time to the Baltimore/dc metro area and have since busied ourselves with documenting our birth country as it goes through a strange and fraught crossroads in its history.
We graduated from the BA (Hons) Photography course at Edinburgh College in 2017 and have taught street photography workshops in Edinburgh and Paris. Between us we have also won awards and finalist positions in various photography competitions. in 2025, we published our first monograph, Phantasmagoria, with Eyeshot publishing.
